I would have to say fleece is better.
It cuts down on the dust for guinea pigs, the bedding does not get stuck in their fur, it is easy on their feet, and the top always stays dry.
Note: Do not use regular detergent to wash fleece. Use vinegar and a gentle, scent free detergent (like oxy clean or tide free). Also, fleece is more effective if your guinea pigs' cage is large and there are not many guinea pigs (1-3 guinea pigs). MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING OFF THE FLEECE BEFORE YOU WASH.
Your guinea pigs will be as happy as ever with fleece.
They should be on fleece or bedding like carefresh. To find out more about guinea pig care, vist guineapigcages.com
Yes as long as you clean it regularly and wash it at least once a week. The best thing to use is fleece though, its warm and the guinea pigs love it! - Guinea pig owner -
Yes they can. Make sure you use dust free shavings and hay or a better choice would be fleece blankets with either newspaper or towels underneath.
After they wee or mark their territory they drag there bottoms on the floor. it used to happen with my females. They are now house on towels and fleece
You shake off the poo outside and toss it in the washing machine. Make sure to use scent-free soap.
Guinea pigs need somewhere to hide, constant supply of hay(timothy hay preferably), a water bottle, plain guinea pig pellets, and toys. They also need fresh fruit and veg everyday, and for the bedding they should either have wood chips or fleece(i prefer fleece as wood chips could cause breathing problems)
Yes use pine bedding NOT sawdust it is very bad for there lungs if you need any advice on guinea pigs contact a guinea pig rescue not a pet store
You should not use cat litter, pine shavings, or cedar shavings. It would be better and healthier to get a guinea pig a different bedding.
Use it as their bedding, but there's nothing to stop them eating it if they want.
nothing except their bedding
I change there bedding the same day as it was very messy all is ok and i have 5 gorgeous baby guinea pigs Thank You, changed the bedding the next day and we have 3 happy guinea pigs.
The best bedding to use is wood shavings. If the pine is in shaving form then yes, youcan. Never use newspaper as bedding. The ink can be toxic to little pets.
