Foil itself will not warm it, it has to already be warm for it to insulate it.
Other than keeping your head warm and dry, they don't.
There are three different ways of transferring heat. These are by radiation, conduction and convection. The sun's rays heat the surface of the earth by radiation. If you were to wrap a ice cube in Aluminium foil and place it in hot sunlight it would take longer to melt because the sun's radiation would be reflected. However if placed an ice cube wrapped in foil on a hot plate, it would melt just as quickly as if there was no foil. This is because in this case Conduction is the main way heat is passed to the cube and aluminum is a good conductor.
Both Good for keeping you warm; Bad for the environment
Aluminum foil traps heat in a container because it reflects thermal radiation back towards the food, preventing heat from escaping. The foil also acts as a barrier to moisture loss, keeping the food warm for longer periods.
To warm French bread effectively, preheat your oven to 350F, wrap the bread in aluminum foil, and place it in the oven for about 10 minutes. This will help the bread become warm and crispy on the outside while keeping it soft on the inside.
To warm Italian bread effectively, preheat your oven to 350F, wrap the bread in aluminum foil, and place it in the oven for about 10 minutes. This will help the bread become warm and crispy on the outside while keeping it soft on the inside.
foil lined board is used for the containers of ready made and takeaway meals. it can also be used for paper bags and labels. foil lined is basically good quality cardboard with analuminium foil lining. the foil retains the heat and help keep food warm.
I think it's an insulator
heat keep us warm :)

Foil lined board is typically used for packaging applications such as food containers, cartons, and trays. The foil lining provides a barrier to moisture, light, and odors, making it ideal for keeping food fresh and protecting it from external factors. Additionally, the foil lining helps maintain the temperature of the contents, making it suitable for hot or cold food items.
Wrapping an object in aluminum foil reduces the energy loss through infra-red radiation. Foil reflects radiatant energy in the same way that a mirror reflects light. This is very effective in keeping food hot after it has been cooked.
