Is food coloring dangerous for you?

Not in ordinary quantities. If you fell into a vat of it, you could drown, and if you started drinking it by the gallon there would probably be some ill effects. But a few drops of it in a cake or in frosting? The sugar is worse for you than the food coloring would be.

And there's nothing wrong with sugar, either - in moderation.
