In some states, if you have a Medicaid card, it also serves as your EBT card for food stamps, which you swipe like an ATM card at the grocery store. If you are eligible for food stamps but not Medicaid (which is possible, as the eligibility requirements are different), you will be given a separate food stamps EBT card that is not a Medicaid card.
My understanding is neighboring states using the same system it can be used. But I don't think so that far away.
yes. we just traveled Michigan and used our card up there. as long as the place u use it has the same logo as on the back of the card(Quest), u can. we used ours at wal-mart
Is it based on per medicaid pt we see that are ca to us or all medicaid patient know matter who is ca on there card. If the patient is seen more than once in the same month, do we still receive the cost per person.
If we're talking about Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP aka food stamp) benefits, the answer is, generally, no. There are some exceptions like seeds to grow food with. In Alaska, one can get fishing and hunting supplies. An EBT card may have other benefit dollars (from TANF) and these don't have the same restrictions.
The food stamp card you used was not yours, so yes you are liable. It is the same as if you used someone's credit card without their permission. Both are examples of theft.
Absolutely. In such a case, Medicaid is the secondary payor.
If your income exceeds the Medicaid standard in your State, you will have to "spend down" the excess to qualify for Medicaid.
This should not be a problem, but States' performance varies widely in this area.
Medicare is a Federal program which is the same nationwide. Re: Medicaid, there are significant variations among the States.
There is no such thing as Medicaid Part A. Title XIX of the Social Security Act is the title that governs medical care.
Lonestar Card, the same for food stamps.
I' don't know how it works on your Sate, but in FL, all you have to do is call Medicaid office ( number on back of the card) between the 1st and the 15th of the month ( any month) and tell them that you no longer want to be in HMO, and they will take care of the rest, and you will be eligible for straight medicaid the 1st day of the following month the same with medicare.
