It feels like a needle is going in you, like getting a shot but al ittle bit more pain or when you get your blood taken. It's not as bad as everyone says it is, but it does hurt. It doesnt really hurt that bad after its pierced it just stings, you have to take really good care of it if you don't want to get it in infected, i clean mine about 4 times a day, with anti-bacterial soap with no alcohol. I would avoid swimming and just take care of it and you'll be fine=)

You certainly do not need to get your belly button pierced if you have an outtie.....The pressure against the jewelry will cause the jewelry to eventually migrate...You may get 2 months or two years out of it, but my bet is on the two months....One day you wil be in the shower washing your belly button and you will feel your jewelry in your hand, no blood, no pain, and no piercing....If your piercer is straight up and honest he will tell you these things.....Hope this helps...

I GOT MY BELLY BOTTON PEIRCED AND I HAVE NEEDLE PHOBIA BAD BUT I DID NOT THINK IT HURT AT ALL IT WAS OVER AND DONE WITH BEFORE I KNEW ITI got mine done and I thought that it was a 7, But it only hurt for a few seconds! It really depends on how deep you get it pierced I've had mine done twice and the first time I didn't even feel it until the piercer told me he was all done but the second time was about a 4-5 because she had to go deeper even then it only hurt for a couple seconds. I got my belly button pierced when i was 12 years old.On a scale 1-10 it was like a 2..But im real good with pain, it differs from person to person..
