It is released at the end of magma crystallization in a hot, mineral-rich fluid that fills cracks and voids in the surrounding rock. This fluid solidifies to form metal-rich quartz veins.

because of the veins. there are fliuds and minerals that were nnot incorporated in the common minerals, these are usually metallics such as gold silver lead and copper. these are dissolved and then released at the end of the magma crystallization. it the solidifies to form the metal rich veins, such as gold.
You can only find gold in quartz if there is a gold vein( or water vein) leading into the area. It is possible and has been found before.
Quartz is one of the more common minerals on Earth. Because of its structure and formation, it is also more likely to "pick up" the gold and be associated with it.
