No, use a more gentler cleaner.
A great way to make your backyard sparkle is to paint that wooden picnic table. Pick a bright or traditional color. An enamel, oil-based paint is best. Prep the wood by cleaning away any dirt and grime with a good scrubbing of soap and water. Use a medium grit sandpaper, and sand the entire surface. This will help the paint adhere better to the wood. Clean the wood with acetone on a clean cloth to pick up all the sanding particles. Next, brush on a good outdoor primer paint. Now, apply the paint, fire up the barbecue grill and enjoy your new wooden picnic table.
You can use a wood cleaner to clean your outdoor table. It will keep it in good condition.

A wooden table has a definite shape and volume. It is very rigid and cannot be compressed i.e., it has the characteristics of a solid. Hence, a wooden table should be called a solid.
First of you are going to want to sand down the wood, this gets off all of the previous paint and readies the surface for a new coat. You can choose to stain it with any color of stain or you can use an exterior paint.
A wooden table is called a solid because is hard and we cant break it.
I did! I had white latex paint and added minwax chestnut brown stain to it. When I tried to mix the two to Schubert a brown color I ended up with a swirl (oil and water do not mix). I applied the mixture with a rag to an old table and the paint ended up turning a purplish color with cream and brown streaks. Almost like a milk paint look. I LOVE my "new" table!! I wish I could find more info on this technique!!
