A drug hair follicle test is where the hair follicle is tested to see what drugs have been used. Hair is a by-product of the body and along with containing DNA also happens to have the history of a persons drug use. It can be accurate up to 90 days. It is not just the hair follicle but the actual hair as well.

The advantages of taking a hair follicle drug test is that it's non-invasive, there is easy sample collection and holding, it is dependable and accurate,it detects chronic drug use. It also checks sample adulteration,has a longer window of detection compared with other drug tests and is time-saving.

Hair testing is one of the options for checking for drugs. You can also be checked using urine which is more common place.
