Is having a Red Cross Donation Card the same as being tested for STDs?

Not really. when you donate they originally just test your body to see if you can donate, not the health of your blood. So if someone does have an STD they can donate but after that their blood is screened somewhere else and if its bad its throw out. They can contact the person if they have their information and let them know if their blood had something wrong with it though. If they donate blood often though, which your allowed to do every 2 months, then you could say that they don't have any STD's. since if they did they wouldn't be able to donate. But i wouldn't use that as a clear statement to say that anyone doesn't. Its best to always use condoms as to prevent unwanted pregnancies as well as STD. If you want though you can always go to your local health department and get a free STD check-up. That will give you definable proof. Though i'd still suggest using condoms afterwards to prevent pregnancy. Hope this helps.
