Believing without knowing will help in the early stage to open the the path to know the truth and believe and confirm the truth, the God. Then the believe is very strong and there wont be any difficult to differentiate lies from truth.
There is a difference between believing and knowing. If you know God exist then you do not need to believe. Anything that would go against your knowingness you can easily spot as a lie. On the other hand if you just believe without knowing than other beliefs, especially lies, can affect, even destroy, your belief. In the end, when you as a spirit drops your body, it is between you and God and what you knew in your heart to be true.
