He never sold cocaine
Yes. Several stores (including Sears and Roebuck) and catalogues sold heroin as a cough suppressant and alternative to morphine, though heroin is actually more dangerous. They sold a heroin syringe, two needles, and a carrying case for $1.50.
Usually can be found at OfficeMax
Perhaps the price has gone up, but it used to be a 40, which referred to .4 grams of cocaine or crack or heroin, or 1/4 ounce of pot, each of which sold for $40.00 on the street.
Coke, Heroin, Weed They Are Used The Most :)
Basic Chemistry; As Heroin in the salt form i.e Heroin Hydrochloride it is water soluble. As the freebase it is NOT water soluble which is why citric acid is added to freebase Heroin to make it injectable. Look in your medicine cabinet; how many pills say eg Prozac HCl (hydrochloride). As for lipiphilicity (fat solubility), it is the advantage of heroin where legally used; like the UK, that as freebase it is extremely fat soluble so it rapidly crosses the blood/brain barrier and produces a 'rush'. Briefly, 'crack'cocaine is a freebase but cocaine HCl is the stuff folks put up their noses. Curiously Heroin. HCl has a high enough vapour pressure to be smokeable, unlike cocaine HCl. Also many acids can make a freebase alkaloid water soluble.
Heroin was marketed as a cough medicine and a cure for morphine addiction and was once sold over the counter in the U.S.!!!

No. There is no heroin in any over-the-counter or prescription sleeping pills. Heroin is almost never sold as anything else. Heroin is considered an opiate. Some opiates that are similar to heroin can be found in prescription painkillers, but not sleeping pills.
