I think that most people would consider that being a judge is the best job in the criminal justice system. You get paid very well just to issue an opinion, and the best part is, your opinion is always right! Unless overturned by a higher court. But I am sure that working in homeland security has its advantages as well.
The opinion on whether homeland security is the best job in criminal justice can vary depending on individual preferences and career goals. While homeland security offers unique opportunities to protect the nation's security and combat terrorism, other careers in criminal justice, such as law enforcement, forensic science, or corrections, may be more appealing to individuals with different interests and skill sets. It ultimately depends on one's personal interests and career aspirations.
Depending on what career you want after your done, find out what courses will help you improve your knowledge or skills. I take it you want to become a field agent with a federal agency, so a bachelors in either homeland security or investigation and law enforcement is your best bet. Just talk with the career services adviser before you start. FYI I took homeland security and its all about threat assessments reports and office stuff. I would go into law enforcement and rank up from there.
The position on the side of justice is best.
