The idea of horse whispering as a talent is rather ambigious. Some believe that it can be learned, others believe that you have to be born with it. Needless to say, not everyone can do it. As a person who has been called a "whisperer", I think it takes both an ability to be empathic and also training to be really good at it. I know as a small child I seemed to be able to train animals (dogs, cats horses) to do things that amazed many adults, but to do the more complicated training of higher level horse training, I too had to be taught by a skilled trainer. I worked with many young (numbering in the hundreds) people and found only 3 that had the ability to really do what a lot of people call 'whispering'
Have you ever had a horse talk to you in English. You have to listen to the horse very close to see what he is saying. Some people they are so good at feeling what the hose showing that its like the horse is whispering to them and no one esle can hear it.

Mr. Ed the talking horse (a 1960s TV show). Joke: A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks "Why the long face?"
Horses trust people more now. Before horse whispering they would sack them down and tie them up. Horses hated this. It was a very sad sight. Now horses trust people and love them. Horses deserve to be treated nicely. They never did anything to deserve mistreatment.
Ok. Before I answer your question I would just like to say that i have 3 level 15 horses on Horse Academy. With a horse that hasn't got a "mother" or "father", they start off with no talent points. You obtain your first talent point at level 5, second at level 10 and so on. If you breed two horses with talent points, you will obtain a foal that starts off with 1 or 2 talent points. This horse has an advantage and will obtain about 4 talent points by the time it's level 10. Good luck! Hope this helps! Charlie :)
If you want a site to see, go to bottom. Horse whispering requires talent, most people who CAN do this have a gift to do it. Anyone with patience can be taught "horse whispering". It is basically how to teach a horse without beating or breaking him. You get into his head and he voluntarily does what you want him too. If you do not have time and patience you cannot be taught this, but if you do, it can easily be explained and taught. The word Horse Whisperer came from long ago when the Queen had horses she could not control. So she took her horse to a farmer they called the Horse Whisperer. This farmer would take this horse into his barn and place a small piece of lead at the end of a string into the horses ear causing him to loose his equilibriam. Than he would lead him around and the horse would gain his trust. This is what it is all about. He than would take the lead out and the horse would trust him. The horse would follow him around like a puppy dog and everyone thought that he whispered something into his ear. Basically it comes down to having the horse do what you want him to do without a fight. And this can and should be taught to everyone concerned about the easy way of training a horse. Now, about the course online- yes, I can teach you. Go to www.freewebs.com/silverstallstables. There, there are loads of information about horses as well as games, music, pictures and more. That is where you kind find out how to horse whisper.
First, you enter the horse's stable. Then, you click on stats. After that, click talents and count all the points on the pictures! :)
That you have a better relationship with your horse. You use techniques that do not involve violence. This is how some people choose to train their horses, but the process is longer then say training a horse through violence (e.i. whipping). The horse will respond to you and in a way 'respect' you more. It's a happier choice for both you and your horse when training. You form a bond like how people can.
no you don't it's a natural thing that only some people can do with a horse. watch the saddle club on discovery kids every once in a while they'll have an episode on about it...its on on sundays!... i hope this helps you!
