Its hard to say as each model can have a different range of specifications even if its named the same way.
You may need to be more specific as hp g62 and Dell vostro 1540 can have different serial numbers. But lets see what i can do to help.
I did some research and found out they lie at around the same price. The HP g62 is better as most models had the Intel I5 Processor whilst the Dell vostro 1540 only had the I3.
the Dell vostro 1540 tended to have around 2GB memory at 1333mhz whilst the HP g62 tended to have 3 - 4GB at the same speed.
The HDD space in the HP g62 tended to be 350GB disk space and the Dell vostro 1540 tended to have 500GB of disk space. I'm not sure about the transfer rate but i'm guessing both hard drives run at around 5200rpm which is the normal speed for middle range laptops.
The video card in both laptops tended to be the Intel HD chipset which is pretty basic for a laptop. Don't expect to do high quality gaming on this equipment if that's what you're planning to do. But don't worry i'ts perfectly capable of running many other programs.
Dell and HP are pretty trustworthy companies yet Dell tend to rip you off a bit sometimes because they are well known, a bit like Sony.

The HP G62-b30sa is an older laptop model with limited hardware specifications, which may restrict its gaming capabilities. It typically features integrated graphics and lower-end processors, making it suitable for basic games or older titles but not for demanding modern games. For a better gaming experience, a machine with dedicated graphics and a more powerful CPU would be recommended. Ultimately, while it can handle casual gaming, it may struggle with more graphically intensive games.
It runs fine for me.
Try calling your computer store provider and if you have a warranty, you can drop the computer in the water if you please and say it was an accident by whoever and ask for a new one.... another kind...... k?
They should. But they might not run very fast.
I now know that the second works not very well but it works, so maybe brotherhood but the third won t work
Try disabling Recording options. Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound - > Sound Click the 'Recording' Tab and right click on any devices you have and select properties. Go to the 'Listen' Tab and make sure 'Listen to this device' is not selected.
you probably do not have enough memory left..... try uninstalling programs you do not useMore causes: outdated hardware, overload startup programs, corrupt registry issues, too many junks, virus attack, poor security software taking too much system resources etc
It's not generally a wise choice to try to upgrade a graphics card on a notebook. On most notebooks, the graphics card is integrated to the motherboard, so you'd need to replace basically the whole notebook.
Yes you can use it externally. The parts may cost more than what you paid for the card. Also its not easy to do and even more difficult to use with your laptop screen, you usually need to connect it to a TV or desktop computer monitor. (see related links) The good thing is you can use the setup for other laptops and upgrade the graphics card in the future.
I have the exact same laptop as you and to be honest, I have had no problems with it what so ever. Is the noise coming from the hard drive, fan, DVD drive?? For the crashing/freezing, it could be from viruses/malware (and what not) to hard drive failure and other components failing. Firstly, how hot is your laptop getting? and is the crashing happening after about 30 mins - 1 hour? you could also try booting in safe mode. If it still crashing in there, try repairing the O/S with a windows ?? disk or reinstall your O/S (with the serial number under your laptop). If you manage to boot in safe mode and isn't freezing, download and install malwarebyte and run scan in safe mode. If still no success, take it to a computer shop or contact me via private message.
