There are some differences that are noticeable if you've read the book, but a lot of stuff, like maybe 80-85% of the film is the same as the book. The same can be said with the second book and film, Catching Fire
Peeta Mellark. Its the same in the book and movie
It's pretty much the same that happens in the book.
Yes they did, I read The hunger games and saw the movie three times. Both the movie and the book view the hunger games the same. Each character views the hunger games differently though so that might be a tad confusing. Examples being a career Cato would see the Hunger Games as an event that shows character, strentgh, and endurance. Rue might see it as her death because she is so small. The capitol would see it as enteretainment.
There's only one Hunger Games - book two is Catching Fire and book three is Mockingjay. There was a fire-themed dress in the first book (and movie), although it didn't have exactly the same effect as the dress in the second book/movie.
It's mildly explicit, same as the movie (hence the PG-13 rating instead of an R rating).
The final installment of The Hunger Games series, Mockingjay, will be divided into two parts. The first part (movie #3 for the series) will be in theaters on November 21st, 2014. The second and final installment of the series will be in theaters on November 20th, 2015.
i would have to say it is the best book i have ever read. but, not every one has the same interests.
If the movie is anything like the book, yes, with many other new characters too.
Yes that's why thresh let katniss go
Johanna was captured by the Capital at the end of the games, same with Peeta and Enobaria, but the three of them were rescued in the third book Mockingjay
Well the hunger games and catching fire are set in the same place, except the arena in catching fire is different
No, because the author said that The Hunger Games would be a trilogy (only three of them) but the good thing is that there will be three Hunger Games movies which follow the exact same storyline as the books.
