No, far from it. Hydrogen, like battery power, must get energy from some other source at a net loss of efficiency. Hydrogen that is produced by electrolysis of water relies on electricity produced by, what? ...burning fossil fuel. There is nothing produced from hydrogen combustion except for water and a small amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) but, the production of hydrogen is anything but non-polluting.

No, the flame of pure hydrogen is completely transparent with a barely detectable tinge of blue. If any other color appears it is due to contaminates or materials adjacent to the fire.
