no way intrumentation control is not a core branch
i am a b.techstudent ,my branch is applied electronics & instrumentation .i too love this course.
Transducer & Sensors Electronics & Measurement Microcontroller Embedded System Control System process control industrial instrumentation
mechanical is no doubt an evergreen branch as it is a core branch.companies may be big or small but its scope is always there applied electronics and instrumentation is a mixed branch core+software. u can get jobs in govt as well as in private sector .its demand is rising but again your college must call electrical based companies. so both r very good branch i t depends on u what to study.
Actually there is no separate core companies for EIE,the core companies of other branches like EEE will take EIE students for their campus recruitment.
hi,i want kown list of core companies at hosur, because i am doing final belongs to ELECTRONIS and INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING ...
If you have the desire to learn how every machine in the universe functions please join mechanical engineering the core branch of engineering. Here you will get to know the basis of engineering.

Experimentation is the core of engineering learning
The best B.Tech engineering branch to choose depends on your interests and the changing business landscape. Because of the rising demand in the tech industry, fields like computer science engineering (CSE), information technology (IT), electronics and communication engineering (ECE), and artificial intelligence and machine learning are currently in great demand. If you're interested in core engineering fields or intend to work in industries like manufacturing, construction, or power, other branches like Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering also offer good opportunities. The branch that most closely matches your passion and your desired skill set is the ideal one, in the end.
