Short answer: no.

Slightly longer but equally uninteresting: Iodine and Iron are both chemical elements. That is, they are pure chemical substances consisting of one type of atom. If you look on a Periodic Table of the elements, you'll find both.

Iodine is labeled with the symbol I and has an atomic number of 53, the number of protons in the nucleus of the atom.

Iron is labeled Fe with an atomic number of 26.

Briefly: Iodine and Iron are in no way similar whatsoever except that they are both elements and both contain the letters I, O, and N...well that, and the human body needs them both to function properly, though in very different ways and amounts. (DO NOT eat, inhale, drink, inject, or otherwise introduce either iodine or iron directly into your body!)

What mineral forms when chlorine iodine bromine and fluorine combine?

What color is iodine when mixed with water what color is iodine when mixed with mineral oil?

I think it depends on the mixtures. When I mixed a store bought solution of iodine (2.5% iodine and 2.5% potassium iodide) in water it was brown. But when I added heavy mineral oil and mixed them, the mineral oil layer was a brilliant pink/purple colour. Really impressive. NR Pure iodine is violet. It can act as an electron acceptor (an acid). When iodine is in a solvent that doesn't donate electrons it stays violet. When it is in water or ethanol the iodine accepts electrons from the oxygen atom which then affects the wavelength of visible light that it absorbs, this means that the colour changes.

What is a mineral sulfate fluorite iodine galena gypsum?

Does pink Himalayan salt have iodine in it?

Pink salt in the UK is pink because of the inclusion of oxidized iron. Iodine is close to chlorine as a halogen on the periodic table.. Almost all mineral (table) salt is derived from sea water and there is plenty of iodine in seawater. Goiter is a deficiency disease resulting from (inter alia) low iodine in the diet. People who eat seafood get plenty of iodine. Mineral sources of sodium chloride MAY not necessarily have high iodine levels. Table salt in many countries is often "iodized" ensuring the populace is getting a goiter-avoiding diet. -Firstmate-
