Yes. Bettas do best in a tank that is well planted and also has floating plants too. Best size tank for breeding them is 18"x10"x10".
no, one of the fish will get attacked and die
It is absolutely ok to have a lamp by the betta fish tank, just make sure its not on 24/7, as fish need dark and light periods to function normally.
Provided the tank is large enough and the catfish is a tropical species there should be no problems.
Septic tanks may be installed at any depth in the soil. The main factors that determine the depth of the tank are sewer line depth, and the site conditions. It is ok to put gravel or dirt over your septic tank. If you have six or more inches of dirt you can grow grass as well.Putting gravel or dirt over the septic tank will not harm the drain field.
Yes they will. Male Bettas will fight if they are in the same aquarium with another male Betta. Other than by separating them, there is nothing that can be done to stop them fighting. They have evolved over millions of years to do this. A Male Betta is OK with all other species of fish but he will fight another male Betta on sight. He will attack and kill a female Betta too if she doesn't spawn with him. Even if she does spawn with him, she will be killed as soon as spawning is over if she is not removed from his tank. Several female Bettas can be kept together OK. It is only the males that behave that way.
Normally, Bettas and Rubberlip Plecos aren't recommended to be tank mates but if you think that they are getting along fine together then that is OK.
This can become very stressful for your betta. It will see its reflection and flare at it all the time. Your fish will think its reflection is another betta, and feel like it needs to scare it away from its territory.
well, its better if you let them free but if you dont want to its ok you just have to get a really big tank like for fish with a led and gravel, poure a little water in the tank like a little over the gravel and get creickets and leave it in the tank and its better to get a nother frog! GOOD LUCK! :D
I just got my male betta and guppies.....The person that sold the guppies told me they would be fine together. After a few hours I checked on them and my 1 guppy had part of his tail gone.. So I put the betta in another tank....Can someone tell me why he did attack the guppy?????? I'm kinda new to the hole betta thing..
Yes it should be OK. I would advocate that you use a filter too and do at least a 50% water change weekly.
A tiny bit of unadulterated, finely shredded, tuna flesh would be OK occasionally, provided the Betta recognises it as food. On no account leave any uneaten food in the tank it will foul the water and kill the Betta.
Yes they should be OK provided the tank is big enough and there is plenty of cover. You should have a minimum of 10 gallons of water for 2 female Bettas.
