Yes, it's normal. Your Rooster is just protecting your hen while she's laying.
If your brood hen seems to be having no trouble keeping the other hens away, she should be fine where she is.
She should be ok. If not don't isolate her. Isolate him dor a few days.
Yes and No. It depends on the chicken... either hen or rooster! Thus still eating chicken at night is OK to do. Thanks for asking this question ROBERT! ( I think your name is that )
If the babies are still fluffy and cheeping it's better not to take the babies away from the mother or otherwise, The mother will be stressed and looking for them all day long, Which wouldn't be fair on her. You can give the chickens away when you identified them if they're a rooster or hen.
4 hens per rooster is a better ratio. Roosters often "rough up" the hens when they breed, so having more hens will prevent any one hen from being picked on too much. I know lots of people who feel like 8 hens per rooster is about the maximum the average rooster can handle.
ok.1st you can read all the answer arcs at once (in order)(ie.#1Onikakushi-hen, #2Watanagashi-hen, #3Tatarigoroshi-hen and #4Himatsubushi-hen. ) and then the answer arcs (also in order): (ie #5Meakashi-hen, #6Tsumihoroboshi-hen #7Minagoroshi-hen and #8 Matsuribayashi-hen.) Or you can read the question arcs THEN the corresponding answer arcs. (ie. #1Onikakushi-hen then #1(b)Meakashi-hen, #2Watanagashi-hen then #2(b)Tsumihoroboshi-hen etc.).the decision is up to you.^^
A female chicken under the age of one year. ok this is what i figured chick(baby) pullet(teenager) hen&rooster(adult)
You might ought to call the Vet if you want to keep that rooster. I think the pellets would be in his system long enough to cause lead poisoning.
Shedding is just a normal part of life for Geckos and laying an egg is too so it's OK.
because they are not exposed to a rooster ok a chicken laying an egg is kinda like a girl having her period, a girl always has her period until she gets pregnant then it's done till she gives birth. a chicken cant tecnically cant get pregnant so it always gets its period did that help? I believe this person wants to know WHY the hen would lay the egg if it were NOT fertilized. This is due to the fact that her eggs are there fertilized or not they must get laid. God made them to do that. Could be a way for other predators to find food.
Yes they are more then fine, It mearly means the eggs are not fertilised and when the chickens become clucky and sit on the eggs they cannot incubate abd develop however if you were planning on breeding a rooster is essential.
It's ok. If it's under the seat or in the glove box - no one will break into your car to find it. The bad guys don't know it's there. Thieves only break in when they see something laying on the seat and they want it.
