It depends on what you want to do. First question I'd ask is what was the frequency of the electricity in Malaysia? In the U.S., it's 60 hz. Malaysia? Assuming the voltage in Malaysia is 250 volts and it America, it's 120 volts, the output from the adapter will be just less than 1/2 of what you'd have in Malaysia. If it's for a battery charger of some type, I'd just try to get another adapter for use the States, as they're not all that expensive. On the other hand, if it's for some other type of electronic equipment, but equipment that isn't `frequency sensitive` (50 hz. as compared to 60 hz.)you could use a `step-up` transformer, which would convert the voltage from 120 to 240, which is probably close enough. Just be sure that the output is of high enough amperage to meet the needs of the equipment. The Transformers could be obtained from a general electrical supplier because the chances of finding one at an electronics store is very unlikely.

I have my 120 volt appliance and in Philippines we have 240 volt. Can a 110 - 250 volt adapter be used?

An adapter can be used. Make sure that the adapter that you use is of a capacity that it can produce the amperage that your appliance needs. An adapter too small will burn itself open and will be of no use to anyone. Remember; Watts = Amps x Volts.

Can you use a 250 volt American appliance in India?

YES, Make sure to get adapter plug for India.

Can you plug a 110 volt air conditioner into a 250 volt outlet using some kind of adapter?

Yes you can - with a transformer. Maplin Electronics sell a converter that allows you to plug appliances that run on 110V into the normal UK mains. See the related.

Can you use 250 volt 1A for 230 volt 800mA?

no

What is the difference in 30 amp 250 volt and 30 amp 600 volt?

Devices are rated by voltage and amperage. If you have a source rated for 600 volts you can use a 250 volt device, but not vice versa.

What are the volt power requirements for Belgium?

220-250 Volt, as is the main part of the Europan Community.

Can you run a disc man off of an AC DC adapter that puts out more power than is needed?

Hi, IF the voltage rating is the same, the output in current (most likely in milliamps or ma) of the adapter is relatively inconsequential as long as it's at least what the Discman originally required, or a bit higher. For instance, if the Discman requires 6 volts at 250 milliamps (250 ma) and you have a 6 volt adapter that has 475 ma. available, you should be able to run your Discman off of it with very little problem. Also be sure that the different adapter has the same polarity at the plug as the original though, or it could be catastrophic. Hope this helps, Cubby

30 amps on a 250 volt outlet can handle how many watts?

A 30 amp circuit on a 250 volt service could handle up to 7500 watts. That's if it's actually 250 volts coming in. You should check that with your meter.

Can you use 250 volt fuse in place of 600 volt fuse on a 277 volt system in a in line fuse holder?

No, use a fuse rated for the proper voltage.
