As far as I know there is not paint that "stops moss growth" The problem needs to be fixed by killing the sources of the growth of mildew and moss. Perhaps it is a moisture problem. You need to kill the moss first then paint it with a special coating. I called Sherwin Williams and they helped me out tremendously. Just make sure you tell them if you have a pitched roof or a not. It makes a difference.

it is galvanzied and then zinc phospahted and cromated to provide good surface for paint adhesion. But paint not required as it is corrosion resistant. Sheet metal roofs, gutters, and downspouts are commonly bonderized.
Any good craft store in your area should have Gallery Glass paint as well as one or two other brands. If they do not, ask if they will special order them in for you.

There is special paint formulated for plastics and no other will adhere. It comes in spray cans. Most good hardware stores have it in the paint dept - look for plastic paint. The paint is call Krylon Fusion For Plastics.

It's almost impossible to do with a brush. Get a good spray can (Krylon or similar) and prep your material well, then spray it in a shop or garage where temp. is around 75 deg. Start with very light coats, overpainting gives a different texture. A good spray can? What the hell? There is no such thing as a good spray can. Get a paint gun and get some flat black paint from the auto paint supply store and learn.
Apply a coat of exterior paint over the interior paint to protect the finish and to discourage mildew growth on the paint film.
