No, I think you have misunderstood along the line. Even the mentally ill dislike pain. but some cause self-harm. It relieves tension. It's not that they like the feeling, it just makes them feel alive and less stressed.

well, it can be seen as such, i for one revel in the feeling of pain and find it quite enjoyable, i do not self-harm, and enjoy mental and physical harm to be inflicted onto myself, however, that's just me,

the enjoyment of pain is linked to masochism, that can be sexual or non-sexual, or both, it is also referred to as self-defeating personality disorder, this clear things up a little?
