No, not unless it was an extremely large amount.
went motor is poor on power news to much fuel and motor won;t start up eyeing
I went from the original quadrajet to a Holly and it solved that problem... Are you sure it is not the carb?
spray carb cleaner in the air intake chamber and clean out a little. I had the same stalling problem and this hasn't been a problem since. Toyota dealer diagnosed the problem as a faulty emissions sensor or something like that which translated to a $2,000 estimate. I went to a great mechanic in North Plains, OR and he put his computer system in and it had an error code for a Lexus which he searched in his database and the solution was to clean air intake. $5 quick fix
buy a bigger battery i had the same problem
The float is stuck in the OPEN position. Try sharply rapping on the float bowl several times with a non -metallic object. Screwdriver handles work great for this. I seriously doubt that the float went out of adjustment all by itself. Worst case scenario - take the float bowl off and spray carb cleaner around inside.
sure it's the motor and not the window regulator? The regulator is made of plastic (stupid VW they know it's a problem and won't do a recall) when it breaks the window is stuck down because the cables twist. I have this problem now and went to VW site and they have a video online to show how to fix the problem. But you have to order the parts from them.
well I have a 1984 crx myself what helped most was to eliminate the old carb and vacuum lines and went with a webber carb.
If wipers stay stright up went turned off, you needs new motor. There are two parts to the motor, one is working and the other is not. Had same problem. new motor fix it
If this is a fuel-injected car, the pump is in the tank. I believe in 1987 they went from Carb to fuel-injected. If it is a carb, it is on the lower right side of the engine.
The if that window is the only one not going up and down, its the motor, or maybe even a short in the wiring. ** My 4 door went out one window at the time.
Henry Ford went bankrupt before he founded Ford Motor Company. Ford Motor Company has never went bankrupt.
I had this problem and the cylinders filled up with gas, it turned out to be the timing chain tensioner gear which snapped and took out the motor , had to replace the motor. Hope that is not your problem as it has been a common fault with the 4 litre in 2001 , they had a nylon or neopreme gear on the tensioner mine went without warning at 125000 kms
