Exercise usually shortens my period upto only 4 days! It's no big deal. Just tell your teacher 'just in case' and you'll be good to go! Also if you have cramps, running and exercising should ease them!

During menstruation some women may feel tired or suffer menstrual cramps so may feel more comfortable with lighter exercise such as Yoga over running or lifting lighter weights than usual - but as performance and comfort changes throughout the menstrual cycle a woman can always make-up for lack of performance during menstruation at other points in their cycles. Menstruation can give women a good chance to deload or relax a little when training so can be of benefit to them, although some women find they don't need to cut back in training at all - everyone is different.
