You can, however it is typically considered bad luck for an owner if they change the name of a ship. There is, oddly, a way around this though. If the previous owner will change the name for you, then it's bad luck for them if they sail on it, but since you're the one that will be on it, it doesn't matter. Alternatively if you don't believe in any of that, then a simple "yes" would be the answer.
