Yes it could be very very severe if not treated quickly by the animal hospital or any vet near you. Since scorpions stab and inject any living thing with poison if it even makes it down the dogs throat, where it might inject the poison, when it enters the stomach there is a great chance that the scorpion there's a great chance that the dog might die.
