no filter because for smaller fish it can hurt or even kill them and for the old filter use bigger fish
The only thing that you can put in a tank that small is a betta fish or african dwarf frog. Tropical fish do better in a tank that is ten gallons or more. If the tank has a filter and heater you could put one guppy into it but that would be all and I doubt it has a filter and a heater.
ALL fish need filtration.
Freshwater setup: MUST HAVE: Tank, filter, filter pads/media, heater, light, fish, water, electricity, fish food, place to put tank NICE TO HAVE: Substrate, decorations, tank lid
take the fish out immedietly and drain the water. after you have drain the water wipe the inside of the tank with water. DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN THE TANK, ONLY WATER. after you have done all of this clean out your filter and put a new filter sheet inside of the filter.
it usually all depends on the type of fish tank you have.
There is a type of fish that loves eating and does nothing but eat the filth on the side of the tank as well as the filter itself. The more you have the cleaner your tank. Try rainbow fish as well.
Pretty much all the time.
All pet shops will have filter fibre in stock.
You Bet!!! Seriously, the more space you give them the better off they are. The most beautiful (fresh water) aquarium I ever had was a 20 gallon heavily planted tank that housed four females. It had a regular, over the back, filter system. It was gorgeous, and the fish took full advantage of all the space.
How many gallon tank do you have? How much is multiple? And what kind of fish? The bigger the tank the better. The more territories the better and if it is community fish the better. Not 100% they are all going to live in perfect condition's.
External power filters are always better than any other kind of filter. The worst filter of the lot is the undergravel filter because it does not remove any poisons from the tank but stores them in the gravel from where they can poison the whole tank and kill all the fish if you have one power black out or a plug gets pulled out by accident.
A carbon filter is a good idea in any fish tank as it helps to keep the water oxygenated for the fish. You can get one at any pet store which sells aquarium supplies. An example of a store that may be found in many cities is Tisol. They generally carry a good supply of all aquarium products including carbon filters.
