sew it on
ANS 2 -It depends on the fabric and how long you want the letters to stay on. I have used iron-on tape for this, but it comes off after 4-5 washes.
1. Sew it on. 2. Glue or Iron it on.
The best glue for attaching a magnet to cotton fabric is a strong fabric glue or a hot glue gun. Fabric glues are designed to bond textiles without damaging them, while hot glue provides a quick and durable hold. Ensure the surfaces are clean and dry before applying the adhesive for optimal results. For added strength, you can also sew the magnet onto the fabric after gluing.
It depends on the fabric glue. Some fabric glues are specifically designed to be "washable", and these are likely to stand up to machine washing ... at least a few times. If you need something that can be washed repeatedly, just bite the bullet and sew it on (though machine washing felt in general can be problematic; wool felt tends to shrink, and acrylic felt tends to melt in the dryer).
You can attach beads by sewing or gluing them. Sew beads on like you would buttons. If you do glue them make sure you are using a flexible fabric glue for beads or sequins. Make sure the glue dries clear and that you put enough glue to go throught the hole to help hold it. Do not machine wash anything you have glued beads to. They will be chipped or knocked off.
I would not recommend using glue on an heirloom quilt. A better solution would be to create a pocket (or sleeve) for a curtain rod to go through, and then sew that to the quilt. For detailed information on how to do this (with illustrations!), please see the related Quilt Woman link, listed below:
Hot glue can work to temporarily bond an elastic band together, but it may not provide a secure or long-lasting hold. For a more effective and durable solution, it's better to sew or use a specific adhesive designed for fabric.
To make a newspaper dress, find a pattern for a dress that you like. Lay the newspapers out like you would fabric, cut out the pieces, and sew or glue them together.
i'd use fabric glue from basically any craft store or you can sew it. depends on your preference (sewing is less messy).
You don't sew buttons to fabric batting. Batting is intended to be used as filling between two pieces of fabric, usually to create a quilt. If you did sew a button to fabric batting the button would be able to be pulled right out due to the loose construction of the batting itself.
You have to turn your fabric around. It doesn't come with a reverse on the machine, so you need to sew from about an inch from the end, and sew to the end and turn the fabric so you can sew the rest of the seam.
To effectively patch a hole in the crotch of your jeans, you can use a denim patch or fabric glue to cover the hole. Cut the patch to fit the hole, then either sew it on or apply fabric glue around the edges to secure it in place. Make sure to let it dry completely before wearing the jeans again.
