Generally speaking, it is always less expensive to go to a specialty service provider than a dealer. However, the dealer is more likely to use the proper grade and brand of oil as specified by the manufacturer.
In my opinion I would take your Nissan to the dealers because you would get a higher quality oil change done there. The dealer ships does provide better service on your Nissan.

I normally stick to the 3 month or 3 thousand mile rule. You can call the dealer and ask what their recommended service is aswell.
