You can only spank your child but if you spank your child to hard and it leaves an injury such as a bruise, red mark, any kind of mark your child will get taken away by a Social Worker. You can hit your child if well he's trying to kill you which I highly doubt that will ever happen seriously that's probably a one in a million chance but that's all I really no...
Child abuse is against the law, but exactly where the line is drawn between "discipline" and "abuse" is a matter of some controversy. In some places, it's strictly illegal for a parent to strike a child; in others, as long as no lasting physical damage is done corporal punishment is seen as a permissible tool that a parent may use to control an unruly child.
This may come as a shock, but in general, corporal punishment (being spanked or smacked) is not considered child abuse by itself. If it is excessive or causes an injury it would be child abuse.

No, definitely not. However cattle prods are allowed.
If you mean that the father hit the mother, and that is the reason she left the father, then no, that is not grounds to obtain custody. The courts usually award custody to the mother, unless she is unable to care for the child, or if she has been proven an unfit parent. Hitting a woman, especially the mother of your child, may actually go against you in a custody suit against the mother, and the mother had every right to take the child and leave if the father of her child hit her. The courts may also look at it as if the father hits the mother, then he may hit the child, too.
No. That is assault and/or battery. Charges can be pressed for such things.
The mother must petition for child support. The mother must petition for child support. The mother must petition for child support. The mother must petition for child support.
It depends on how you are defining the word hit. Are we talking about a slap on the wrist or a punch to the stomach. In any case, if you legitimately feel you and/or your unborn child are in real physical or psychological danger as a result of your mother's actions, then you really need to report this to the authorities. Your mother can NEVER hit you, pregnant or not, this is assault. Nor can anyone else hit you by the way.
The mother and the aunt's child are first cousins to each other. The mother and the first cousin's child are first cousins, once removed.
