Is it common for guinea pigs to be blind because my guinea pig is blind and I've seen videos with other blind guinea pigs?

it all depends on the breed and colourings. if it is an albino it most likely to be blind.

No. Blindness probably occurs with the same rarity in guinea pigs as it does with other creatures in the animal world. Also, albino guinea pigs don't necessarily suffer blindness any more often than non-albinos.
