I had no tooth back of upper, twice filling it but coming out not good. Last weekend same happen my jaw too stiff only left side as felt like swallow inside, now it happen again this morning My gum really sore now Can I make warm water with salt? My name is Cindy Jamieson from Calgary, Alberta

Why do football players wear a mouth guard attached to a helmet because how could the teeth get damaged through the helmet?
When you are hit you have a tendency to clash your teeth together. The mouth guard is there to stop tooth on tooth grinding etc. The strap is attached because when the player takes the mouthguard out, he has less of a chance of losing it as it is attached.

Usually, when your tooth is really ready to come out, it shouldn't hurt when you pull or wiggle it, if it does, it isn't QUITE ready because you shouldn't feel any pain. There will also be the taste of blood in your mouth and your tooth will be hanging by a tiny little root :)
