Well, a series actually has more to do with television shows or books.
When you are talking about movies, it is more often called a trilogy, quartet, ect...since most major movies (such as Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Harry Potter) usually have 1 or more sequels. I'm not sure there is a term for two movies, but it seems that it would be considered a "bi-logy" or something similar, since Bi is a common definition for 2.
Yes, a series can consist of only two books, movies, etc. A series is defined as a group of works that are connected by characters, settings, or themes, regardless of the number of installments.
a series of THREE books or movies
7 books, 8 movies. This is because two movies were made out of the last book.
The books are better than the movies, but the movies are good if you haven't read them.
No.
Eight movies. The main series has seven books; one movie was made for each of the first six books, the last book was split into two movies.
Presumably because she wanted people to enjoy her series as movies as well as books.
The iron series are very interesting and amazing. However, the books are not going to be make into movies.
It's the second in the series for both the movies and the books.
tv series
Twilighters are fans of the Twilight series (books and/or movies) by Stephenie Meyer.
There are 5 books, not including the Demigod Files. I'm hoping for there to be a follow up series, but the movies are probably the 1st priority of the Percy Jackson series.
It started with the books. The movies came later.
