Depends on what is meant by "dangerous".
The warning light comes on when the engine management computer detects a fault with one of the many sensors that are on modern fuel-injected engines.
Some of these sensors play a vital role in keeping the engine running, others do not.
The warning light is like "pain". Pain in ones big toe is not "dangerous" but the same pain in the chest is. One is an ingrowing toe-nail, the other is a Heart-attack.
In the worst case the crank-shaft position sensor might be giving a false reading and cause the engine to cut out at 70 on the motorway, in the fast lane, in heavy traffic, and cause an accident (the Heart-attack) which could be dangerous. On the other hand it might be that the "air temp sensor" is reading -150oc which is clearly never going to be true, so puts the light on (an growing toe-nail). At worst this will cause very slight loss of power and perhaps slightly higher fuel consumption.
To answer the question briefly "It is a warning light." it is warning you of a fault. Ignore it at your own peril.
It comes from:Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation
Not easy you have to remove radiator and loosen steering pump to get access to it there are 3 bolts holding it on , slacken drive belt first and remember to disconnect the battery lead before you start good luck
Evaporative emission leaks, EGR, misifireEvaporative emission leaks, EGR, misifire
Yes, absolutely.
My 2003 !.9 diesel Zafira does exactly the same
diesel 20 ltr, oil filter is situated at the front of the engine underneath the Black plastic engine cover. remove cover and look down the front of the engine were you will see the top of the oil filter housing, ( you will need a 36mm socket to undo this cap) once removed lift out the oil filter and replace with new. genuine Vauxhall filter comes compleate with new o ring seals. easy job with minimal oil spilage.
A Vauxhall Corsa is a European hatchback car. It comes in a variety of models and was produced between 1982 and 1993. The primary manufacturers were in Spain.
Because most if not all vauxhall engines are air cooled, hence when you are driving the temp comes down
Have it checked for codes.
ECU has registered a fault. Get the codes read to find out what it is.
