Does the Carrier Dome have heat If so what type of heating system?

It has heat but not AC - then again, you don't really need an air conditioner in upstate New York. Since Carrier is based in Syracuse and they had manufacturing facilities there when the Dome was built, it's almost a certainty the heating system was made by Carrier.

Does it mean when heat system says auxiliary heat reset filter?

Auxilliary heat is on... Change the filter... Then reset the filter change reminder and if the filter is not dirty extend the filter chamge reminder for a longer interval.

When should you use emergency heat?

During an emergency. i.e. when the heat pump is not working. If your heat pump can not keep your house warm, then the auxiliary heating coils (same thing as emergency heat) will come on automatically. If not, then there is a problem with your heating system.

The best heat pump?

Not Carrier

What is difference between auxiliary heat and emergency heat?

None. There is no difference. Auxiliary heat and Emergency heat are synonymous. It is the electric heat strips that kick on whenever the outside temperature drops too low (below 30 degrees or thereabouts) for the heat pump to efficiently heat the house. The electric strips are a little more expensive to run, but they will heat the house.

What does the word 'aux' mean on a thermostat?

"Auxiliary" use of the indoor system is what the word "aux" means on a thermostat.Specifically, the system depends upon the outdoor-located heat pump and the indoor-located air handler or gas furnace. The screen indicates a switch to auxiliary mode when temperatures drop to freezing or below. The system needs to be checked by a professional if the auxiliary mode remains in use even after temperatures rise since the outdoor unit is more cost-effective and efficient at above-freezing temperatures.

Why your thermostat say auxiliary heat on?

Auxilary heat is a second source of heat when your primary source can not keep up on it's own (either electric or gas).

Compare quality carrier to lennox hvac heat pumps?

I dislike both, but if I had to chose I would go with Carrier.

Where is the emergency heat switch on a Carrier HVAC system?

If you have a heat pump it will be on the thermostat, if the thermostat for some reason has been changed to manually wire up emergency heat , remove the thermostat after you kill the power and connect the red wire too the green and white wire then turn the power on, you will have heat.
