No, I don't personally think so. I breastfed my oldest until he was 26 months. I have to admit at the time it felt weird, like he was too big, but looking back I wish I would have stuck with it a little longer since I was the one who weaned him (as opposed to him doing it on his own).
AnswerThe World Health Organization and American Academy of Pediatrics (among other organizations) recommend breastfeeding for two years and beyond.Good for you (and your child) if you are still breast feeding when your child is two years old! Long term breast feeding is one of the best things a mother can do for her child. If more women took this approach, our children and society would be better off. Mothers engaging in open long term breast feeding should be the norm. The only way to change society's attitude about breast feeding is for more and more mothers to nurse their toddlers. Keep up the good work!

She also took her multi-vitamins from Shaklee (shaklee.com) and breast fed until the baby was at least 6 months - breast feeding can help a woman lose 900 calories per day.
