The best way I have found to get tough ickiness out of my microwave is to put a bowl of water in there, incovered, nuke it for about 1-2 minutes to develop a good steam all over the inside, remove the bowl and wipe off the ickiness. Sometimes this needs to be done a couple times, especially after wonderful hubby cooks in there.
