Winter!
We have seasons because the Earth is tilted by 23 degrees.
Winter, spring, summer, autumn. The Earth is ALWAYS tilted, otherwise there would be no seasons. (see related question)
Because the earth is tilted, the sun goes around the earth but the earth stays still. So the sun hits the earth at a different point in each season which makes the seasons have a different weather.
The four seasons (winter, summer, spring, autumn) occur because as the earth rotates around the sun, one side is tilted toward (summer) and one side is tilted away (winter) from the sun.
winter
Spring and Summer
The reason why we have seasons, is because the earth is tilted on it's axis. As it revolves around the sun, the tilt will lean towards the sun in the spring and summer and leans away from it for the fall and winter.
well it wouldnt have no solstice at all no summer no winter no fall and no spring
Earth rotates around the sun. Its tilted, so when the northern hemisphere is towards the sun, its summer on that half, and winter for the southern hemisphere. When the southern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun, it's summer there, and winter up north. Spring and fall are the times between the extreme tilts.
when it's cold it would be tilted when its summer its Straight :)
The earth is tilted 23.4°, so from summer to winter, when the tilt is away from the sun, the difference is 46.8°.
The Earth's seasons: Spring Summer Autumn (sometimes called Fall) Winter The seasons result from the earth's axis being tilted to its orbital plane. Thus, at any given time during summer or winter, one part of the planet is more directly exposed to the rays of the sun. This exposure alternates as the earth revolves in its orbit. Therefore, at any given time, regardless of season, the northern and southern hemispheres experience opposite seasons.
