It's important to remember that dinosaurs lived between 230 million and 65 million years ago. The world was very different back then, with temperatures much higher than today's average and even different continental layouts. During this time, Antarctica was just below the polar circle, and still some ways away from permafrost. This would have allowed any species that lived there- dinosaurs included- at least half a year of permanent sunlight at tropical weather, yet plenty of room to move northward when the southern half went into a winter of permanent night.
