Short haired guinea pigs don't need bathing a lot, maybe once a month or so. For long haired i would suggest once or twice a month (maybe depending on how dirty they are).
You can also buy a grooming brush from the pet store esp for them.
baby shampoo works really well
You should NEVER bathe a guinea pig. They have oil on their skin that helps them be clean, and germ free. If you bathe them, it will wash all of that oil off. At pet stores, you can get a spray bottle that as good smelling liquid in it. It is wonderful for guinea pigs, but is for ferrits.
Yes, guinea pigs can be given a bath. In fact you should bathe your guinea pigs once every one to two months- just be sure to use specially fortified guinea pig or rabbit shampoo when doing so.
No! Do not give guinea pigs tang!
Long haired guinea pigs don't NEED a bath but it is good for them if you bathe them every 1-3 months depending on how dirty or tangled their fur is and dont need their face and ears cleaned as they do that themselves.
No. Guinea pigs do not need baths. The bathe themselves when they feel they are dirty. If you need it specially done, though, see a small pet veterinarian for help.
