10 years ago i purchased a computer with 30gb hard drive and 250mb of ram! I thought that computer was amazingly fast! Now i have purchased a computer with 500gb of hard drive and 4 gb of ram and think that is super fast! In ten years it will probably default of 1 tb of hard drive and 10 gb of ram

The internal Hard Drive in a computer has an average life span of 10 years. If a computer is nearing this age it is a good idea to have an external hard drive to back up your files in case of a crash.
