Death metal is not very hard, considering the basic skill it takes. The only real challenging thing about playing death metal is the ability to growl, yell, scream, etc. The guitarist usually plays open strings and power chords (oh and an occasional scale or two). The drums are pretty simple and consist mostly of double bass and snare, basically.

Blood Duster (play something of a Death/Industrial hybrid) Mortification (Christian band, whose whole discography is Death Metal-inspired to some extent, but later releases strayed a bit away from actually being Death Metal). That depends on your own opinion, but the quality and skill also play a part in of what might be qualified as the "best" death metal bands. That's hard to say since the line from thrash metal to death metal is very blurry. Kreator, Slayer and Sepultura are widely known for creating riffs in a rather death metal fashion (more alternate picking, slower note changes). Probably the first of those bands to completely disband the punk attitude from thrash metal were Possessed and Death, so they could be called the 2 first metal bands.
They Say it is Rock N Roll but I believe it is hard rock/ heavy metal

They're a generic Gothenburg band. Many of these so-called "melodic Death Metal" bands play something which is derived almost exclusively from Power and Speed Metal, and will have little - if any - Death Metal influence, whatsoever (although a few of Arch Enemy's albums to make the occasional nod to old school Thrash/Death).
