I guess you are going shopping for a new plastic ball, no harm done. Unless you still have your appendix then you may get it back some time in the future.
The most important thing when removing a tongue ring is to be sure you do not swallow or choke on any pieces of the jewelry. You also need to be sure you have clean hands when you take it out or put it back in.
Well it can take up to 72 hours to pass and if it doesn't chances are good it's in your appendix. If you are concerned see your doctor.

There is no "lock on a tongue ring" and it's not a ring it's a barbell.
If you have a tongue ring, it makes it hard to make out. the ring always gets in the way.

I'm guessing the tongue jewelry is magnetic? Since thats pretty much the only realistic fake tongue jewelry. Its best to look up instructions but I'm guessing you just put one magnet n each side of your tongue. Make sure you take it out to eat or drink so as not to swallow it. If the navel piece is just a ring, you should be able to just slide it on. Again, its really difficult for me to give you advice if I dont know what it looks like :)
