Yes, it is illegal to cut down cedar trees in Florida. Because cedar trees make up a great amount of Florida, the need of raising those trees for oxygen and resources are dire. Unless the industry departments are permitted to cut them down, no one should be ridding the trees of their rightful spot. However, if a cedar tree is growing on one's owned land, then they have the right to cut down what they wish; but be warned, it will be frowned upon.
