Depends on what you are referring to.

If you are talking about having a 1.3 GPA for the previous semester and a 2.3 the following semester, yes, it is certainly possible and probably easier then you would think.

If you are talking about going from a 1.3 overall to a 2.3 overall, it would be pretty hard. If your 1.3 is based on a single semester, then it would be possible if you got a 3.3 to bring the overall up to a 2.3 in one semester. If it is based on more than one semester, no, you wouldn't be able to do it in one.
