Any firefighter who is being trapped fighting a blaze where no lives are immediately at risk (save his own) may opt to evacuate and abandon an untenable position. He will not be held At Fault for that. If that firefighter is attending to someone who is trapped and fears being cut off by the fire and then burned to death, he'll have a decision to make.

Can voluntary firefighters arrest people?

This is a very touchy subject. The best answer is no. Volunteer firefighters hold no legal ability to arrest someone and keep them in custody, but in some locations they can remove you and keep you away from an area. In some locations they have "Fire police", which do have the ability to arrest you. It is not uncommon to see police officers at fire department senes, also. If they have a reason to, they can arrest you or ask you to leave.

What happends if there is a fire in a fire station?

The firefighters fight the fire (if they are there). If the fire is when the firefighters are on another fire the next closest fire company is called to put out the fire. Several fire stations have caught on fire. Fires at a fire station are usually caused by firefighters cooking and when they get called to an emergency they forget to turn off the stove or oven in the excitement.
