Yes, this can be normal. As long as the ears do not stay hot. The ears are a way to rid the body of excess heat.

This all depends, did both your Guinea pigs die on the same day? If so they may have died of shock. Maybe something scared them, so they ran around trying to find a escape, (spurt of energy) and then were too frightened to move so they died. This is only a theory.

No, they would go down alittle bit but not by much, I went up to 0's and they never went back to normal.

If you went to a breeder then it might differ depending on what sort of stock quality it was bred from. However, pet shops sell all of their guinea pigs for the same price. So, guinea pig prices only change due to what quality stock they were bred from.
