It's unusual. Make a list of all medications, herbs, over-the-counter, and recreational drugs you're using and discuss the matter with your health care provider and/or pharmacist. An exam may be needed.

When you first start hormonal Birth Control, you may have unscheduled bleeding. If this is troublesome to you, or lasts longer than the first three months, contact your health care provider for advice. Bleeding may last longer with the birth control injection than with other hormonal methods.

I don't think a Male should be answering this, but I'll give it my best shot.

As you probably know, a Female, beyond Puberty, should Menstruate every month or so. For you to be getting one 2 weeks.. That could be a sign you may be having Twins, but that's not so likely. It seems, your 2 (...) have lost connection. Don't worry, I think I've heard of this before. Either your child is very reluctant, or, maybe, your 2 (...) are having a mis-communication. I recommend you turn to a Doctor, as soon as possible. The odds are it can be treated with a Minor Surgery, or hopefully a few pills. Ask a friend to take you in a Car, to your nearest Health Care Centre It isn't all that normal, but the odds are, it can be treated, if this has only started now(If it's been happening since you were 13, or so, it can be severe). Still, I hope you can get treated soon :).

If you are sexually active, you should probably take a pregnancy test. It is possible that your cycle is still resetting itself but pregnancy is more likely.

Spotting and cramping after missed period?

If have missed a normal period, and have experienced spotting and cramping that isn't like your normal flow, taking a pregnancy test is recommended. It is relatively common in early pregnancy to have spotting and cramping from the fertilized egg burrowing into your uterine lining. If it comes back negative, don't fret. Major changes can affect your menstrual cycle, from changes in birth control, exercise habits and even stress, to name a few.

Is spotting on birth control normal?

Seeing spotting while taking birth control is totally normal. It's just your body getting use to the hormones you are now taking. My doctor told me you should see spotting or light bleeding for the first 3 months of taking birth control.

What if you missed a day on birth control?

Take the pill as soon as you remember. If that means taking two in one day, it's fine. You are still protected against pregnancy. You might have spotting, but it's unlikely and if it does happen it's completely normal.

You were taking birth control pills but you missed 3 days and then you began spotting you did that for a week then you stopped taking the pills for 2 days to make your period come on can you get pregn?

Its possible but pretty unlikely. If you miss any pills then follow the instructions (which are normally to continue as if you hadn't missed any pills).

Is it normal to have brown spotting between periods when you have skipped the placebo birth control pills?

The placebo pill is taken so you have the habit of taking the birth control pill, even during your period. So your period should happen the week your placebo is taken. So if you are taking the pill and you have missed a pill and then doubled up or just missed the pill sometimes you can spot brown. Sometimes you can spot brown at the very end of your cycle. It could also be the birth control pill you are taking isn't the right one for you. Contact your physician if you are following the directions of the prescription and spotting mid cycle. i always skip placebo pills since they are only needed to remind you to the the pill at the same time every day. you get your period when you are supposed to start placebos. Brown spotting is a "period" and happens to me all the time.

Is it normal to have brown spotting while on the pill?

Yes, it is normal to have brown spotting while on the pill, particularly if you have recently started taking it or have changed brands. Brown spotting while on the pill can occur in place of a regular period.

After taking Plan B it is normal to have spotting after ones menstrual cycle for days at a time?

After taking Plan B it is normal to have spotting after one's menstrual cycle for days at a time, if you just started taking the pill. However, if you have been on Plan B for a while, this type of bleeding may not be normal. It could be that the uterus did not expel all of the blood during your period and so spotting occurs mid-cycle.

What if you missed a pill and started your period early are you pregnant?

Sometimes when you miss pills or do not take them everyday at the same time, you may experience spotting or breakthrough bleeding. This is a side effect that is normal while on birth control. Spotting or breakthrough bleeding may start right before you start your menstrual cycle. If you haven't been on birth control for at least 2 months, I recommend taking a pregnancy test, especially if you have been missing pills or do not take them everyday at the same time.

Spotting while taking the pill?

Very normal. Many woman have spotting when first starting the pill. It should stop after a month or so. You may stop having your period all together while on the pill. If the spotting doesn't stop I suggest talking to a doctor or switching to another birth control.

If spotting occurs for two weeks should I stop taking the birth control or will the spotting stop?

When you start birth control it is not unlikely to have spotting or breakthrough bleeding. This is a side effect that can last up to 3 months or longer. You should not stop taking your birth control because you will actually mess up your cycle and when you will have your period. You will also experience more spotting or breakthrough bleeding if you stop now. The spotting will go away, however, you should visit your physician to consider changing the dosage of birth control. Spotting and breakthrough bleeding usually stops when switched to a higher dosage of birth control.

If you have already started spotting should you continue finishing your pack of birth control?

Yes you should continue your pack of pills even though you are spotting. You should never discontinue taking your birth control unless advised by your physician. If you stop taking your birth control you will lower the effectiveness of the birth control drastically and you will increase your chances of becoming pregnant. Spotting is a side effect caused by birth control. Spotting typically occurs when you are either starting birth control for the first time( spotting may last up to 3 months), spotting can occur if you do not take your birth control everyday at the same time, and it can occur if you use a certain medication, such as antibiotics.

Can not taking your birth control pill on time a few days during a month cause you to skip your perid?

If you missed your period after not taking the birth control pill at the same time each day, the most likely reason is that you are pregnant. Some women will miss their periods randomly (or experience minimal spotting) while on birth control. You should take a pregnancy test to be sure.
