This is the mastoid process of the temporal bone. It is somewhat larger in males than females. It is normal to be there. There are four muscles attached to it. It is larger in men because they have larger muscles.
There will be more shape than an Asian skull and less shape than an African skull. African skulls will have a more prominent forehead, wider nose and an more prominent chin.
